The Kingston Jewish Council Site

We are located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada!

We invite you to browse our site to learn more about what we do and the Kingston Jewish Community

The Kingston Jewish Council is passionate about Kingston. It is our mission to strengthen and enrich our city by supporting our vibrant Jewish community. We provide community-wide programs and exciting events that add flavour to local Jewish life. By uniting together, we are ensuring that Jewish life in Kingston thrives. The Kingston Jewish Council (formerly the Jewish Community Council of Kingston) is a secular umbrella organization that furthers the welfare and security of the Jewish community, facilitates philanthropic, social, cultural and educational activities, fosters co-operation within the Jewish community of Kingston, and speaks for the Kingston Jewish community on secular matters.

Message from Ian Sarfin, President of Kingston Jewish Council (KJC)

My vision as KJC President is to see KJC as the driving force in reaching out to the greater Jewish Community of Kingston and bringing them together to celebrate events as one large family regardless of religious or political affiliation.

We also reach out to other ethnic and cultural groups in Kingston to get a dialogue started and to become more involved in the many multi cultural events taking place in Kingston. To do this we have a Multicultural committee anybody interested in becoming involved in the work of this committee please contact me at president@jewishkingston.org

The more the whole community can work together the stronger we will be.

For KJC and our community to grow and thrive it is vital that we be an active community with lots of different programs to meet the needs of our diverse community.

KJC will be working closely with other local and outside organizations to combat any negative, anti Israel or anti-Semitic activities and messages being disseminated locally.

We envision our community to be the centre of Jewish Activity between Toronto, Ottawa & Montreal.
